Questions should not disappear
A shared tracker helps preserve the timeline of what was asked, who was contacted, and whether a response was received.
Project CATS is a community-powered advocacy and tracking system for public questions, agency responses, open issues, and neighborhood concerns. This initiative is focused on Battery Park City transparency, environmental monitoring, and construction follow-up.
Built to support clear records, constructive follow-up, accountability, and public access to information.
Battery Park City is experiencing major long-term construction, resiliency, and public-space changes. Residents and community members deserve timely, understandable, and accessible information.
A shared tracker helps preserve the timeline of what was asked, who was contacted, and whether a response was received.
Repeated concerns about monitoring, construction impacts, access, or safety are easier to address when they are organized in one place.
The goal is to support constructive public follow-up with BPCA, elected officials, Community Board 1, and other responsible parties.
Community members can forward relevant emails. Submissions will be reviewed, organized, and redacted before anything is summarized publicly.
Include emails where you asked a question, received a response, were promised follow-up, or raised a concern about construction, environmental monitoring, public access, safety, or neighborhood quality of life. Separate submissions help each issue be categorized and tracked accurately.
Submissions are categorized by project, topic, date, recipient, response status, and whether follow-up is still needed.
Public summaries focus on the issue, timeline, and response status. Personal contact information is not published.
Please forward both new and previous emails related to Battery Park City issues, especially those involving unanswered questions, incomplete responses, environmental monitoring, construction impacts, or public follow-up.

The Open email button will start a draft with a short template, one-issue-per-email guidance, and a privacy reminder. Complete what you can, then paste or forward the relevant email thread below the template.
Suggested subject line: BPC Tracker Submission – [Topic] – [Date]
Complete email threads are most helpful because they show the full timeline. Please include as much context as possible.
Send separate emails for separate issues whenever possible. Forward the relevant thread for that issue and avoid combining multiple unrelated concerns or email chains in one submission.
Include the original date, who the email was sent to, whether any response was received, whether the issue remains open, and whether the issue may be summarized publicly.
Before forwarding, remove or redact any personal information you do not want shared, such as apartment numbers, phone numbers, personal medical details, or private identifying information.
The public tracker will summarize records in a format like the example below. Fields and categories may be refined as initial submissions are reviewed and patterns become clear.
| Date | Project | Topic | Sent To | Status | Summary | Follow-Up |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mar. 2026 | BPC Tracker | Environmental monitoring | BPCA / Project team | Open | Request for independent monitoring reports and plain-English public summary. | Response pending |
